The people have spoken and we could not be more appreciative!  Recently, the Arizona Daily Star released its list of the 2016 Readers’ Choice Award winners, and The Villas was chosen as winner in the category of Best Memory Care Facility.  We are so grateful to those who voted for us, and we are equally proud of our staff for their dedication to and care of our amazing residents. 

At The Villas, we know that our residents, especially those requiring memory care,  need a secure environment, with familiar surroundings that are easy to navigate.  Also, to better serve these residents, we ensure that our staff receives additional memory care training through the Alzheimer’s Association.

As we age, we often feel the physical impact on our bodies, as well as on our brains.  We know that physical exercise can help keep our bodies strong, but what can we do to keep our brain power running at peak performance?

Staying Hydrated in Warmer Months

As we move into summer, we are at greater risk for dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.  Small children and the elderly are often at higher risk for health complications related to heat.

Here in Tucson at The Villas, we schedule our walks in the morning so that our residents can get some exercise and social time in the beautiful outdoors, before the higher heat kicks in for the day.
